What happens if a doctor on call does not read a message?
Beckon Call has a message escalation protocol. The Beckon Call server will resend a new notification every 2 minutes, up to five times. If the message remains unread, then at 10 minutes the server will call the doctor’s mobile phone. If the message remains unread (mobile phone call not answered), then at 15 minutes the server calls the doctor's secondary phone number. As a last result, any unread message(s) will prompt a live agent to call 1 of 2 alternate numbers on the account. These alternate numbers must be listed at account creation, and are only used as back up numbers to ensure message delivery.
